Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000–$75,000 annually, depending on experience
Reports to: Founder & Agency Director
Popcorn Media is a Vancouver-based, independent marketing agency helping brands stand out, connect with audiences and grow.
We work with a diverse mix of clients across consumer goods, food and beverage, lifestyle, technology, tourism and more. Our approach combines marketing strategy, content creation, social media, influencer marketing, public relations and digital marketing to deliver creative work that drives meaningful results.
We're a small, collaborative team where everyone has the opportunity to make an impact. We move quickly, wear multiple hats and believe great ideas are only as good as their execution.
We're looking for an Account & Content Marketing Specialist who combines strong client management skills with hands-on creative production and integrated marketing experience.
If you're equally comfortable managing a client meeting, coordinating a campaign and getting behind the camera to bring a creative idea to life, we'd love to meet you.
This is a multifaceted agency position that brings together account management, campaign execution, content production and digital marketing.
You'll take ownership of assigned client accounts, manage day-to-day relationships, coordinate integrated marketing campaigns and create engaging visual content from concept through execution.
Your work will span everything from planning and leading content shoots to managing influencer partnerships, coordinating paid media initiatives, reviewing campaign performance and presenting recommendations to clients.
You'll collaborate with our internal team, external specialists, creators and client stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly and deliver high-quality work.
You'll also help guide junior team members, review deliverables and contribute to improving our internal processes and workflows.
This isn't a purely creative or account management position. We're looking for someone who can connect strategy with execution, independently manage projects and take pride in delivering great work from start to finish.
You'll have meaningful responsibility and autonomy, with the support of a collaborative team and opportunities to contribute across multiple brands and industries.
Bring creative ideas to life through engaging, high-quality content for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Develop creative concepts and content plans aligned with client objectives, brand priorities and campaign requirements.
- Plan, coordinate and lead content shoots, including shot lists, production schedules, talent coordination and on-site execution.
- Capture and edit photo and video content for social media, digital campaigns and other marketing channels.
- Produce engaging short-form video content, including Instagram Reels, TikToks and other platform-specific formats.
- Manage end-to-end content production, from initial concept and planning through shooting, editing, revisions, client approvals and final delivery.
- Create and adapt supporting graphic-design assets, including social media graphics, digital ads and campaign materials.
- Write or adapt social media copy and prepare content for client review and publication.
- Coordinate with internal designers, external creative partners and client-side resources when specialized production is required.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines, campaign objectives and platform requirements.
- Stay informed about emerging creative trends, content formats and production techniques.
You'll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and producing content yourself, not just directing or coordinating others.
Take ownership of assigned client accounts and help turn marketing strategies into well-executed campaigns.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, managing communications, expectations and ongoing relationships.
- Manage account deliverables, project timelines, feedback, approvals and next steps.
- Coordinate integrated marketing campaigns from planning through execution across content, social media, influencer marketing, paid media, partnerships and activations.
- Translate client objectives and campaign briefs into actionable plans, tasks and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain campaign timelines, content calendars, project plans and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate internal team members, external specialists, vendors, creators and other stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.
- Lead or participate in client meetings, present campaign updates and recommendations, and ensure action items are followed through.
- Coordinate client approvals and manage revisions while maintaining brand and campaign consistency.
- Support campaign budgets and resource allocation, flagging potential scope, timeline or budget issues proactively.
- Coordinate on-site activations, events and campaign initiatives, including occasional travel when required.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, improve campaign execution and deliver additional value.
You'll be trusted to manage the day-to-day details of your accounts independently while knowing when to collaborate, escalate issues or bring in additional expertise.
Manage influencer initiatives that create authentic connections between brands and their audiences.
- Research, identify and evaluate influencers and content creators based on audience fit, brand suitability and campaign objectives.
- Plan and coordinate influencer gifting, product seeding, paid partnerships and experiential campaigns.
- Manage creator outreach, negotiations, briefs, campaign requirements and deliverables.
- Coordinate influencer contracts and approvals in collaboration with the appropriate internal team members.
- Act as a point of contact between creators, clients and internal stakeholders throughout campaign execution.
- Review influencer content for alignment with brand guidelines, campaign objectives and agreed deliverables.
- Track campaign timelines, posting schedules, creator deliverables and performance.
- Coordinate product shipments, event participation and other influencer-related logistics.
- Contribute to influencer campaign reporting and identify learnings for future initiatives.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with creators and external partners.
Connect creative work and campaign execution with meaningful marketing outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of content, social media and integrated marketing strategies.
- Translate client objectives and audience insights into actionable campaign and content recommendations.
- Monitor campaign performance and identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present recurring client reports, campaign recaps and performance recommendations.
- Coordinate with paid media specialists on campaign priorities, creative requirements, budgets and ongoing optimization.
- Review paid media performance and contribute recommendations on creative direction, positioning and campaign priorities.
- Conduct ongoing SEO reviews and identify opportunities for website, search and content optimization.
- Communicate SEO insights and recommendations based on search performance and business objectives.
- Use analytics and performance data to inform future content, campaign and marketing decisions.
You don't need to be an advanced paid media buyer or technical SEO specialist. However, you should have a solid understanding of these disciplines, be comfortable interpreting performance data and know how to collaborate with specialists to deliver results.
Help our team work smarter, stay organized and consistently deliver high-quality work.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to our Account Associate and other junior team members.
- Delegate tasks, communicate expectations and review work for accuracy, quality and brand consistency.
- Coordinate responsibilities and priorities across internal team members and external collaborators.
- Ensure client requirements, deadlines, deliverables and feedback are clearly documented and communicated.
- Follow, maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring account and campaign activities.
- Help refine workflows for content production, influencer coordination, client approvals, community management and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better processes, technology, automation and AI-assisted workflows.
- Participate in internal planning, creative brainstorming and team meetings.
- Contribute ideas and support marketing initiatives for Popcorn's own brand.
This is a collaborative leadership responsibility rather than a formal people-management position. We're looking for someone who enjoys helping teammates succeed and takes initiative in making our work better.
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in marketing, content creation, social media, account management or a related field. Agency experience is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing client relationships, marketing campaigns or multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong hands-on photography, videography and video-editing skills, with a portfolio showcasing content you've personally created.
- Experience planning and executing content shoots, from concept development and production through editing and final delivery.
- Proficiency with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, CapCut or comparable software.
- A strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other major social media platforms, including content formats, trends and best practices.
- Experience developing content calendars, coordinating campaigns and managing client approvals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to lead client conversations and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong project management, organization and time-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple clients and competing deadlines.
- A working understanding of digital marketing analytics and the ability to translate performance data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality and consistency across multiple brands and projects.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Availability for occasional on-site shoots, events and campaign activations, including some evenings, weekends or travel as required.
A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, design or a related field is an asset, but relevant experience, demonstrated skills and a strong portfolio matter more to us.
You don't need to check every box, but we'd love to hear about any experience you have with:
- Managing influencer partnerships, creator campaigns, product gifting or experiential marketing initiatives.
- Working with Meta Ads Manager or coordinating paid social campaigns.
- SEO, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and digital marketing reporting.
- Professional photography, videography, lighting, audio production or advanced video editing.
- Working with consumer brands, particularly in food and beverage, lifestyle or retail.
- Managing on-site activations, events or integrated marketing campaigns.
- Using project management tools such as Asana or Notion.
- Leveraging AI tools to improve content creation, marketing execution and operational efficiency.
- Mentoring junior team members, delegating work or improving internal processes.
